Crossminds advises Lineage Logistics and Bay Grove with the acquisition of H&S Coldstores

Lineage Logistics, the global market leader in logistics and cold storage, expands its European network with the acquisition of H&S Coldstores.

Lineage Logistics

Lineage Logistics has more than 400 coldstores in around 16 countries worldwide and serves customers with activities in the entire food and perishable goods industries. The group, which is owned by investment company Bay Grove, has grown rapidly in recent years, partly through various acquisitions. Lineage Logistics recently raised € 1.5 billion from various investors to finance further growth and innovation.

H&S Coldstores

H&S Group is Europe’s largest intermodal Liquid Food operator. The company is headquartered in Barneveld, The Netherlands and provides end-to-end supply chain services. H&S Group also offers a pan-European network of more than 250 privately owned and subcontracted vehicles, and more than 1,500 tank units for the liquid foodstuff industry. H&S Coldstores owns three facilities in Tiel, Beneden-Leeuwen and Elst, where it provides the following services: transport, warehousing, customs, production, processing, laboratory testing, and packaging solutions.

For Lineage, this acquisition means an addition of 48,000 tonnes of capacity in Europe. The Dutch H&S Coldstores facilities in Elst and Tiel will be relocated to a new location in a newly built facility, closer to other existing facilities in Beneden-Leeuwen.

“H&S Coldstores is another fantastic example of our continued investment in the Netherlands. In particular, H&S Coldstores’s differentiated juice-blending services greatly complement our existing capabilities via our recent acquisition of Kloosterboer, and will further diversify our business offering across the cold chain.”

– Harld Peters, Senior Vice President, Europa bij Lineage
